Let’s work together to build on your strengths and increase your capacity to take control of your life.
What is a Psychosocial Recovery Coach?
A Psychosocial Recovery Coach is a support, funded by the NDIS. As a coach, I aim to help people living with psychosocial disabilities live a full and contributing life in the community by combining the principles of recovery-orientated practice with coaching to assist people to build on their strengths and increase resilience. As a recovery coach, my service offerings are different from support coordination, coaching requires knowledge and skills in mental health and navigation within the mental health ecosystem.
Overview of what coaching involves:
Co-designing, goal planning and implementing a recovery plan with participants
Providing coaching and support to increase resilience, capacity and strength
Boost engagement and participation within the community
Assist with the coordination of NDIS supports
Implement practical strategies to manage the challenges of day-to-day living
*Please note that Recovery Coaching is not therapy, therapy is a separate service which can be covered in your NDIS plan for Psychology and other related therapy services if required.
